HTC Awarded Above Deck Repair Works at Aqaba Container Terminal

Hasan Al-Tarawneh & Sons Contracting Co. Ltd. (HTC Contracting) has been awarded the Above Deck Repair Works at Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT), marking a major addition to the company’s marine and port infrastructure portfolio in Aqaba.

The project involves extensive rehabilitation of critical above-deck infrastructure across the operational container terminal, combining structural concrete repairs, pavement rehabilitation, trench and utility works, crane rail interfaces, drainage systems and associated terminal infrastructure.

The works will be carried out within a live operational port environment, requiring careful sequencing, controlled work zones and close coordination with terminal operations while maintaining the continued functionality of the facility.

Comprehensive Above-Deck Rehabilitation

The Above Deck Repair Works cover a broad range of structural and infrastructure rehabilitation activities across the terminal.

HTC’s scope includes deck slab repairs, cope-line rehabilitation, pavement reconstruction, trench and pit reinstatement, firewater and drainage works, utility access structures, crane rail interface works and associated structural concrete rehabilitation.

The package brings multiple rehabilitation disciplines together within one coordinated programme addressing both structural performance and the operational infrastructure supporting terminal activities.

Delivering Within Live Port Operations

Aqaba Container Terminal is an active container-handling facility where construction activities must be carefully integrated with ongoing port operations.
