Second successive ACT award in 2025 expands HTC’s marine rehabilitation portfolio across critical berthing and Ro-Ro infrastructure at Aqaba Container Terminal.

Hasan Al-Tarawneh & Sons Contracting Co. Ltd. (HTC Contracting) has been awarded the Ro-Ro Ramp & Berthing Dolphins Repair Works at Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT), marking HTC’s second successive major marine infrastructure package at the terminal in 2025.
The award follows HTC’s Above Deck Repair Works at ACT and further expands the company’s involvement in the rehabilitation of critical marine and port infrastructure within a live operational container terminal.
Together, the two successive awards strengthen HTC’s growing track record at Aqaba Container Terminal and demonstrate continued confidence in the company’s ability to undertake technically demanding rehabilitation works while coordinating with ongoing port operations.
Ro-Ro Ramp & Berthing Dolphins Rehabilitation
The project covers rehabilitation and strengthening works across the Ro-Ro ramp, berthing dolphins and associated marine infrastructure.
The scope includes structural concrete repairs, pile strengthening and jacketing, rehabilitation of deck and soffit elements, replacement of fenders and bollards, and installation of a new access gangway.
The works require careful coordination of marine access, structural rehabilitation activities, safety and quality controls, and multiple interfaces within an operational port environment.
Delivering Within Live Port Operations
The project will be executed within the active operating environment of Aqaba Container Terminal, requiring construction activities to be closely coordinated with ongoing terminal and marine operations.
Working across Ro-Ro and berthing infrastructure introduces demanding access, sequencing and operational-interface requirements while maintaining the continued functionality of the terminal.
This live-port environment places particular importance on disciplined planning, controlled execution, safety management and close coordination throughout the works.

The Ro-Ro Ramp & Berthing Dolphins Repair Works build directly on HTC’s Above Deck Repair Works at Aqaba Container Terminal.
The Above Deck package established HTC’s role in the rehabilitation of terminal deck and associated infrastructure.
The new award extends HTC’s involvement into Ro-Ro, berthing and marine structural infrastructure.
The progression from one major package to the next reflects HTC’s expanding role at Aqaba Container Terminal and strengthens the company’s experience in delivering successive rehabilitation works within the same operational marine environment.
Strengthening HTC’s Marine Infrastructure Portfolio
The new award further strengthens HTC’s experience in marine rehabilitation, Ro-Ro infrastructure, berthing structures, structural concrete repair, pile strengthening and the rehabilitation of operating port assets.
The project adds another major Aqaba Container Terminal reference to HTC’s marine portfolio and demonstrates the company’s ability to mobilize for successive technically demanding packages within one of Jordan’s most important port environments.
